This SSL Certificate Services Agreement (this “Agreement”) is made by and between Kenotronix (“Kenotronix”) and you, and is effective on the date of electronic acceptance. This agreement sets out the terms and conditions for your use of the various SSL certificate and code signing services (“Services”) that we offer. Your electronic acceptance of this Agreement signifies that you have read, understood, acknowledged and agreed to be bound by this Agreement, which incorporates by reference all (i) our universal terms of use, (ii) all relevant agreements, declarations and practices. and the forms set out in our certificate services repository, and (ii) any plan limits, product disclaimers or other restrictions presented to you on the Web Security or Certificates landing page of the Kenotronix website (this “Site”).
The terms “we”, “us” or “our” refer to Kenotronix. The terms “you”, “your”, “user” or “customer” refer to any person or entity who accepts this agreement and / or uses the services. Except as expressly provided otherwise in this Agreement, nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to confer any rights or benefits on third parties.
You acknowledge and agree that (i) Kenotronix, in its sole and absolute discretion, may change or modify this Agreement, and any policies or agreements incorporated therein, at any time, and such changes or modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting on this site. , and (ii) your use of this site or the services found on this site after any such changes or modifications have been made will constitute your acceptance of this last revised Agreement. If you do not agree to be bound by this Agreement as last revised, do not use (or continue to use) this Site or the Services found on this Site. In addition, Kenotronix may occasionally notify you of changes or modifications to this Agreement by email. It is therefore very important that you keep your customer account information (“myaccount”) up to date, including your email address. Kenotronix assumes no responsibility for your inability to receive email notification if such failure results from an inaccurate or out of date email address.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
We offer a variety of “web security” services, including SSL certificate and code signing services. Each of these is described in more detail below and is governed by individual agreements with a specific set of terms and conditions referenced and incorporated herein, as well as various practice and policy statements that govern the Services in general. All services are governed by our Certification Policy and our Certification Practices Statement. Where possible, the Services may also be subject to the terms and conditions of our SSL Certificate Service Relying Party Agreement.
SSL certificates. Any SSL Certificate you purchase from us or our Affiliates is subject to and is intended for its specific use, as described in the SSL Certificate Service Subscription Agreement, or, if it is a Certificate of extended validation, by the terms of the extended validation certificate service subscription contract.
Duration of SSL certificates. A new regulation introduced by CA / Browser Forum requires that all SSL certificates issued on or after September 1, 2020 are not valid for more than 398 days. As such, we will automatically re-validate and issue the certificates so that the certificate validity period does not exceed 398 days while the subscription is active.
Code signing certificates. Any Code Signing Certificate you purchase from us or our affiliates is subject to and is for its specific use as described in the Code Signing Certificate Service Subscription Agreement. After purchasing a code signing certificate, you must take all reasonable steps necessary to maintain sole control, maintain confidentiality and properly protect at all times your private key which corresponds to the public key to be included in the certificate (s). requested (and any activation data or associated device – for example, password or token) and ensure that at a minimum, the private key is stored on a USB token that is physically separate from the device that hosts the code signing function until a signing session is started. Make sure to request the certificate using the computer and account (usually the administrator) that you will use to sign the code. Requesting the certificate creates a private key on the computer that you must associate with the code signing certificate when you install it. Depending on the use of the certificate, you can create the CSR automatically or you can use a tool like OpenSSL to generate the CSR. After submitting your request, we verify the company information you provided. The Registration Authority (RA) may contact you to provide you with additional information, if necessary. You can monitor the validation process through your account. Once the code signing certificate is issued, we will send you an email with a link to download and install the certificate file and all associated intermediate certificates.
REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CANDIDATE
You are authorized to assign to a representative the authority to (1) sign and submit, or approve a certificate request on your behalf, (2) sign and submit a subscription contract on your behalf and / or (3) acknowledge terms of use on your behalf, provided you acknowledge and agree that you are, and will remain, subject to and bound by all of the terms and conditions of this agreement.
TITLES AND ITEMS; INDEPENDENT ALLIANCES; DISSOCIABILITY
The titles and headings of this agreement are provided for convenience and ease of reference only and should not be used in any way to interpret or interpret the agreement of the parties as stated otherwise herein. Each pact and agreement of this Agreement shall be interpreted for all purposes as a separate and independent pact or agreement. If a court of competent jurisdiction considers any provision (or part of a provision) of this Agreement to be unlawful, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, the remaining provisions (or parts of provisions) of this Agreement shall not be affected by it and shall be found. . be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
DEFINITIONS; CONFLICTS
Capitalized terms used but not defined herein will have the meaning assigned to them in the Universal Terms of Service Agreement. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of this Agreement and the provisions of the Universal Terms of Service, the provisions of this Agreement shall prevail.
